  1. Yes, on this blog subject I will ask your permission before publishing. I’m wanting both inputs from givers and receivers of advice.

  2. Mr Dan
I think that young people crave the advice and want it but then once they have some knowledgeable to give it to them….. They turn and think they know it all.
I paint and this summer I was teaching Jon niece how to paint and different techniques. But once we got into each lesson….. She would turn and says she already knew everything and did not need my help. It was very frustrating.
Jon was trying to teach his nephew how to drive the tractor. Of course once again we had another know it all. So Jon stepped back and let him try…. And once he could not figure out how to crank the tractor Jon stepped up and asked him…. Are you ready to learn.
I think young people are really wanting knowledge…. It is just so hard to admit you don’t know something.

  3. Don’t give advice. Nobody wants to hear it. Just share your experiences. When a person hears your experience then they know that you have been there and you know what you are talking about. Still doesn’t mean that they are going to heed the warning. It might have to be a part of their journey to go there and get caught up so that they can learn the experience first hand. Keep sharing though because every once in a while you meet somebody willing to learn from the experienced of others.
