Proverbs 13:1

Proverbs 13:1

A wise son heeds his father’s instruction……

I’ve been blessed to have a righteous earthly father.  Growing up on the farm, doing chores with him, hauling hay, feeding cattle and chickens all were opportunities for me to see him in action.  “You’ll know what you are doing ,by the time you get through” is one of his “instructions’.  What he was telling me is that if we wait until everything is done and just right, well, we will still be waiting.  That helped me to realize that everything is a journey.  Whether growing corn, or following God’s Will, we learn as we go.  Keep going!

We Got Raccoons!!

We got Raccoons!!

We've Got Raccoons!!

Going back to our cabin, we noticed the front door wide open. (should have been locked).  Raccoons!! How did we know it was the furry bandits.  Well, they had torn open a bag of flour, scattered it all over the floor and countertops.  Then they continued to leave their powdery footprints all in the cabin as they…….. scattered the pepper from pepper shakers, climbed the kitchen curtains making them fall, played ‘football’ with the liquid soap container.  It was chewed open leaving a slippery trail wherever it traveled.  They chewed and ripped the paper towels and well, on and on….

Just about the time we get our house (and heart) in order, doesn’t it seem that the devil sends his little critters in to “create chaos”.

Tell me what’s happening in your heart and what “raccoons” cause those troubles in your life.  I won’t publish any comments unless you request me to do so.
